K(AlSi₂)O₆

This sample of leucite is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Leucite is a silicate mineral of potassium and aluminum with the composition K(AlSi₂)O₆. The sample at left is about 10 cm across and is from Rome, Latium, Italy.
