Paravauxite

FeAl2(PO4)2(OH)2.8H2O

This sample of paravauxite is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Paravauxite is a phosphate mineral of iron and aluminum with the composition FeAl2(PO4)2(OH)2.8H2O. The sample at left is about 12 cm across and is from Llallagua, Potosi, Bolivia.
