Pyromorphite

Pyromorphite is a phosphate of lead with the composition Pb5(PO4)3Cl. This sample is about 6x10 cm and is from Bunker Hill mine, Kellog, Idaho. This sample is on display at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. "This exceptional specimen was recovered from a famous lead mining district. Pyromorphite also displays shades of brown, red and yellow."
